Len Wickwar was a British professional footballer who played as a defender. He was born on March 12, 1924, in Sheffield, England. Wickwar started his career with Sheffield United in 1946 and went on to make 186 appearances for the club. He then moved to Nottingham Forest in 1952, where he played 121 games before retiring in 1958.
Wickwar was known for his solid defending, reliable tackling, and strong leadership on the pitch. He was also a versatile player who could play in multiple defensive positions. After retiring from playing, he went on to work as a coach in the lower leagues of English football. Wickwar passed away on January 27, 2018, at the age of 93.
